Cannabis Worker CanRenew Grant Proposal
Any cannabis or licensed hemp business in Minnesota must follow all worker safety and health rules under chapter 5205, Minnesota Statutes, chapter 182, and any standards the Department of Labor and Industry adopts under those statutes.
Besides complying with any required federal, state, or local workplace training, these businesses must also provide annual training to each worker or volunteer. That training must directly address the specific responsibilities, authority, and duties of the individual’s role.
- Standard operating procedures required (9810.1102(1)).
- State and federal cannabis laws (9810.1102(2)).
- State and federal laws regarding data privacy and confidentiality (9810.1102(3)).
- Proper use of security measures and controls that have been adopted by the cannabis business (9810.1102(4)).
- Procedures on responding to an emergency, including a fire, loss of electrical power, robbery, natural disaster, and workplace violence (9810.1102(5)).
- Product recall procedures (9810.1102(6)).
