Recommended Exposure Limits (REL) is an occupational limit that has been recommended by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health as being protective of worker safety and health over a working lifetime. It is frequently expressed as a Time-Weighted Average (TWA) exposure for up to ten (10) hours a day during a forty (40) hour work week.
