Core Curriculum
Micro-Learning Module
For anyone working in a cannabis business, there’s specialized knowledge that is the key to unlocking the industry’s most exciting opportunities. The cannabis landscape is a complex, ever-changing, and unique industry. We prepare workers to operate in a licensed cannabis dispensary and introduce you to the basics of cannabis operations in a licensed setting. You will learn a critical overview of what it takes to run a cannabis business and the skills you will need to develop including risk analysis, scaling operations, and all the regulatory compliance.
Micro-Learning Module
Learn about the potential therapeutic uses, health risks of using cannabis, and effects caused by chemical compounds found in the plant. These different compounds in cannabis are called cannabinoids. You will discover how the most prevalent psychoactive cannabinoid that’s called Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has various psychological and physiological effects on the body. THC is the only cannabinoid that has clear intoxicating effects on its own, but you’ll find that other of the 100+ cannabinoids discovered will influence how it affects each human.
Micro-Learning Module
Learn how cannabis poses certain risks to the health and safety of some consumers and many others, especially if the consumer fails to use it responsibly. Some of the more common short-term and long-term adverse effects of cannabis are mentioned in this training to bring your attention to the potential downside of using or abusing it. Cannabis can produce several undesirable effects and all of these outcomes are transitory that arise particularly when the Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration is very high or when anyone consumes too much.
Micro-Learning Module
You will learn that preventing and detecting diversion within the cannabis industry is a very serious issue. The ability of a business to cultivate, produce, or sell cannabis products can only be done with strict adherence to government regulations. by not complying with those cannabis diversion regulations, then you’ll have no chance of legally running any cannabis business without the fear of a forcible shutdown looming in the distance. Another aspect of diversion is checking for valid Identifications (IDs) to confirm age and prevent underage use.
Micro-Learning Module
When working in the cannabis industry, you must never provide cannabis to anyone that’s exhibiting signs of being impaired. There is a physical as well as biological component to a cannabis use disorder. Learn how a person may see a symptom emerge, but not know where it places within the progression from recreational use to abuse to a cannabis use disorder. Most do not realize that cannabis use has been problematic, or even medically significant so for this reason, it is especially helpful to know some additional signs associated with abuse.
Micro-Learning Module
The goal of checking for valid Identifications (IDs) is to confirm age to prevent all underage access and stop the legal, financial, and social consequences of illegal consumption. This is a huge task given the large and increasing numbers of fake IDs on the market and the ease with which they can be obtained. Quality fake IDs are so like real IDs, and it’s very hard for those checking IDs to tell the difference if they lack training. This becomes a very big compliance problem since workers don’t know what security features to look for when checking any IDs.
