**420**
\”420\” is a term deeply embedded in cannabis culture, representing both a time and a date associated with marijuana use. The story begins in 1971 with a group of high school students in San Rafael, California, who called themselves the \”Waldos.\” They used \”420\” as a code to meet at 4:20 PM to hunt for a rumored cannabis patch. This seemingly innocuous number has since morphed into a global symbol for cannabis enthusiasts, marking April 20th as a day of celebration and advocacy. The meaning of \”420\” has expanded beyond its origins, now encompassing a broader movement for cannabis legalization and normalization. As the cannabis industry evolves, \”420\” continues to be a rallying cry for change and a celebration of cannabis culture. [Source: Harvard]
