Ganja or ganjah (/ˈɡɑːndʒə/, UK: /ˈɡændʒə/;Hindi pronunciation: [ɡaːɲd͡ʒaː]) is one of the oldest and most commonly used synonyms for cannabis flower, specifically marijuana or hashish. Its usage in English dates to before 1689, borrowed from Hindi and Sanskrit gāñjā.
