Describe Yourself (10 Words or Less)

Production Director at Chenevia – French company focused on CBD and therapeutical cannabis

What You’ve Done

I didn’t come to cannabis through a side door. I came to build something that lasts.

At Chenevia, I’m leading the development of a full-cycle CBD operation — outdoor cultivation combined with an indoor GMP facility currently under construction. That means I’m not just growing; I’m designing the systems, writing the SOPs, specifying the equipment, and making sure every decision holds up under regulatory scrutiny. From phase 1 compliance requirements to post-harvest processing on freeze drying premium equipment, I operate where agronomy meets industrial precision.

What I’m most proud of isn’t a single harvest — it’s the framework I’m building around it. A production environment where Good Agricultural Practices aren’t a checklist but a culture. Where the gap between field observation and documented protocol is as small as possible.

The terrain feedback I’ve gathered across outdoor seasons, including comparative work with operations in Portugal, has sharpened my instinct for what actually works versus what looks good on paper. That gap is where most growers lose margin — and where I focus.

What’s next: completing this Master Grower certification isn’t an endpoint. It’s the credential that matches the operation I’m already running. My goal is to establish Chenevia as a benchmark GMP cannabis producer in Europe — traceable, consistent, and built to scale.

I’m not here to grow good production. I’m here to build a replicable system that grows great product, every cycle.

What You've Learned

The most valuable thing this certification sharpened isn’t a technique — it’s a framework for thinking. Before, I knew what to do on the ground. Now I understand why each decision cascades through the entire system, from root zone oxygen levels to final product consistency.

Systems thinking in a compliance environment is where I’ve developed genuine depth. Building Chenevia’s GMP facility from the ground up forced me to stop thinking like a grower and start thinking like an auditor who also grows. Every environmental parameter — VPD, DLI, dissolved oxygen, canopy uniformity — has to be not just managed but documented, reproducible, and defensible. This certification gave me the scientific language and the structured methodology to back what I was already doing intuitively.

Post-harvest process design is my second area of real expertise. Working with freeze-drying and post-harvest processing equipment, I’ve learned that the harvest is just the beginning of product quality. Temperature curves, moisture targets, microbial risk windows — the decisions made in the 72 hours after cut define everything the grower worked months to achieve. Most people underestimate this phase. I don’t.

What I bring isn’t just knowledge — it’s the ability to translate that knowledge into operational systems that hold up under pressure, under audit, and across multiple growing cycles. That bridge between science and execution is where I live, and where I intend to keep pushing.

Your Next Mission

My next mission is already underway — and that’s what makes it real.

I’m building Chenevia into a reference-grade GMP cannabis production facility in Europe. Not a farm that happens to have paperwork, but a genuinely compliant, traceable, and scalable operation where every process is designed to hold up under the strictest regulatory scrutiny from day one.

The challenge I’m most focused on is the one most producers avoid: closing the gap between outdoor biological variability and indoor GMP consistency. Cannabis doesn’t grow in straight lines, but the industry increasingly demands pharmaceutical-grade repeatability. Bridging that tension — without killing the plant’s natural expression — is the problem I want to spend the next decade solving.

The team I want to be part of is one where agronomy and compliance aren’t siloed. Where the head grower sits at the table when SOPs are written, where post-harvest engineers understand why harvest timing matters, and where quality isn’t a department — it’s a shared language.

My role in this industry is to be the person who builds those systems from scratch and teaches others to run them. Not just a grower, not just a compliance officer — but the operational architect who makes both work together.

Chenevia is the proving ground. The Master Grower certification is the foundation. What comes next is replicating this model and raising the standard for what professional cannabis production looks like in Europe.
