What You’ve Done

After 30 years in tech from application development, software testing, and technical sales, I became tired of being at the whim of every CEO’s poor decisions. Two big layoffs in 3 years made me rethink my path, and we started a low-dose CBD/D9 dispensary. Three years to the day after starting that, we sold our first legal Minnesota flower. I’ve always been entrepreneurial, but this is different. I have a great staff with zero turnover, and this is my “forever job.” I’m in it to make a living, provide a living, and medical insurance for my employees, and to share the glory of cannabis with our customers.

What You've Learned

The more you can do yourself, the better you’ll do. I pay for experience and for things that I don’t get joy from doing. If you don’t understand 280e tax code, hire a cannabis accountant. Hate social media as much as I do? Pay someone to do it.

Use your skills and get out of your comfort zone. None of this is rocket science.
