Ohio voters approved a ballot initiative on November 7, 2023, legalizing adult-use cannabis statewide, making Ohio the 24th state to approve recreational marijuana. A new Division of Cannabis Control will be established within the Department of Commerce to oversee the adult-use program. This division is expected to introduce new regulations and requirements for participation in Ohio cannabis training.
