OSHA Safety Introduction
To maintain safety in the workplace, an understanding of the requirements and regulations is required. There are many rules in place to help keep employees and employers safe and protected. A great way to ensure a basic understanding of this is with our Introduction to OSHA (or Occupational Safety and Health Administration) training and which will give you an overview of the OSH Act and OSHA’s role in the prevention and elimination of work-related illnesses and injuries.
The training provides basic knowledge of OSHA’s history and mission, worker rights under OSHA, employer responsibilities, OSHA standards, OSHA inspections, and safety and health resources, including how to file an OSHA complaint. The purpose of OSHA and the OSH Act is to keep workers and employers safe and decrease the risk involved in the workplace.
There are regulations in place as well as a system of accountability through an inspection process. Introduction to OSHA offers you information about employer and employee rights and responsibilities, the inspection process, reporting, and recordkeeping. The Introduction to OSHA training will prove beneficial for those who are directly or indirectly involved with OSHA and OSH Act.
