Maine
The first retail stores for adult-use cannabis opened in Maine in October 2020, nearly four years after voters approved legalization. Maine had already established a medical cannabis program in 2009. As of now, there are 233 licensed adult-use cannabis retail stores in the state. In 2022, these stores sold more than $114 million worth of cannabis. Maine Cannabis Training is recommended for all cannabis workers.
