Oregon Marijuana Worker Permit Training
Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC) State-Provided Training
We want to clarify that we do not offer the training for the Oregon Worker Permit Certification due to regulations set by the OLCC, which stipulate that training can only be conducted through their website.
To work within Oregon’s regulated marijuana industry, individuals need to secure a Marijuana Worker Permit, a crucial step for anyone involved in the operational aspects of OLCC-licensed establishments. This requirement spans a variety of roles, from those directly handling marijuana products to employees overseeing transactional data within the Cannabis Tracking System (CTS).
The permit is essential for employees at all levels of OLCC-licensed facilities, including producers, processors, wholesalers, and retailers. To be eligible for the Marijuana Worker Permit, applicants must be at least 21 years of age. The scope of roles requiring this certification are set forth by the commission:
- Possession, production, propagation, processing, securing, or selling of marijuana items at the premises for which the license has been issued
- Recording of the possession, production, propagation, processing, securing, or selling of marijuana items at the premises for which the license has been issued
- The verification of any document used for identification
- The direct supervision of a person described above
Moreover, the permit is mandatory for those verifying identification documents in transactions and for individuals in supervisory positions overseeing any of the aforementioned activities. This approach ensures that all facets of operations within licensed establishments adhere to Oregon’s regulatory standards, maintaining the integrity and safety of the industry.
