#0excludeGlossary (#1excludeGlossary) is a structural isomer of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. Unlike the more common trans configuration of THC, cis-THC features a different spatial arrangement of atoms around its double bond. This subtle difference in structure can alter its interaction with cannabinoid receptors, potentially affecting its psychoactive potency and therapeutic properties. While cis-THC occurs in trace amounts in cannabis, it is of interest in scientific studies exploring the diversity of cannabinoids.
