Like its counterpart Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid A (THCA-A), THCA-B is a precursor to Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but it differs slightly in its chemical structure and biosynthesis pathway. #6excludeGlossary is non-psychoactive in its raw form, requiring decarboxylation—triggered by heat or aging—to convert into the psychoactive THC. Emerging research suggests THCA-B may contribute to the therapeutic potential of cannabis, particularly in areas such as anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and antioxidant effects.
