Alabama Management Continuing Education Certification
The Alabama Management Continuing Education Certification is specifically designed to address the ongoing training needs of owners, officers, administrators, managers, and other salaried employees in Alabama’s medical cannabis industry. This certification fulfills the continuing education requirements set by the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission (AMCC) following the initial foundations training, which is provided separately by the AMCC and required before commencing operations.
This certification equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to ensure that they maintain compliance while enhancing their operational effectiveness in the medical cannabis industry. Upon completing the foundations training with the AMCC, participants will engage in a twenty (20) hour annual continuing education curriculum. This program covers a broad range of topics, including legal compliance, safety measures, regulatory updates, and operational best practices.
The curriculum is specifically tailored to address the complex needs of those in leadership roles, with a focus on developing a deep understanding of Alabama’s medical cannabis regulations and how they apply to day-to-day operations. For individuals who have direct contact with cannabis or medical cannabis products, at least five (5) of the twenty (20) required hours must be focused on safety measures, such as proper handling, secure storage, and administration of cannabis in compliance with Alabama’s standards.
This certification is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience that integrates interactive learning elements, real-world scenarios, compliance simulations, and expert-led sessions. Participants will engage in practical exercises that reinforce regulatory knowledge while also focusing on developing leadership skills necessary for managing a compliant and effective operation. The program is designed to foster a culture of compliance and safety, with an emphasis on risk management, patient safety, and adherence to AMCC requirements.
The Alabama Cannabis Compliance Certification goes beyond mere compliance, aiming to create competent leaders capable of driving operational excellence within the medical cannabis industry. By completing this certification, participants will not only meet the state’s regulatory requirements but also gain the expertise needed to navigate complex challenges and ensure high standards of safety and professionalism.

The training is structured to ensure compliance with Alabama’s medical cannabis regulations and aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to operate safely and effectively within the industry. This training is different from those set for “Hourly” or “Non-Salaried” employees who have different requirements outlined in Alabama’s regulations for medical cannabis licensees.

- No less than twenty (20) hours of continuing education to be completed during every full calendar year after receiving the foundations training; appropriate courses must be as provided by or preapproved by the Commission, including any specific courses that are required by the Commission.
