The United States Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) is a federal agency responsible for enforcing laws that protect applicants and employees from discrimination due to their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. 

All teams receive FREE enrollments into our “Workplace Harassment & Bystander Intervention Program” since recent industry studies have shown cannabis workers experience harassment HIGHER than other industries and movements like #MeToo are changing workplaces, so we’re helping too.

State Regulation: GOV § 12950.1

Legal Requirements: Employers must provide at least two (2) hours of sexual harassment training to all employees with supervisor duties & at least one (1) hour to employees without supervisor duties; renewal required every two (2) years.

Legal Requirements: All employers with 10 or more employees on-site must develop workplace violence prevention plans by July 1, 2024. that necessitates the development of a detailed prevention plan, tailored training programs, and a log of violent incidents.

Legal Requirements: The Colorado Civil Rights Commission & EEOC guidelines emphasize the importance of such training, covering forms of unlawful harassment related to protected characteristics under federal & state law.

Cannabis Security Operations Compliance

Operating in the cannabis industry comes with potential threats and inherent security risks. One obvious threat associated with operating a cannabis operation comes from the cannabis industry’s reliance on cash leads to robberies along with expensive cannabis products making theft from customers and even internal employees unavoidable.

Cannabis operators can’t focus exclusively on physical security, there are dangers related to cyber-security that must be accounted for. From break-ins to phishing scams, cannabis is a target for criminal activity so preventative training must be implemented that’ll minimize all types of risks and maximize facility security.
