Train to Tend is an online Responsible Vendor Program that provides comprehensive training to personnel working in the retail recreational marijuana business. The training, which is available 24/7 and can be accessed via various devices, is divided into several modules, covering aspects like laws, ID checking, health effects of marijuana (Colorado only), customer service, and rules of the trade. Train to Tend ensures that its trainees acquire key responsible sales skills, covering areas like preventing sales to underage individuals, coaching customers on responsible use and storage of marijuana, recognizing intoxicated patrons, and maintaining safety in retail stores. The curriculum is state-approved in Washington and Oregon, with Colorado and Massachusetts coming soon, and provides trainees with a Certificate of Completion upon successful course and test completion.
