Kaya literally means ‘beautiful,’ but in Jamaica ‘Kaya’ is the common term for ‘cannabis’ or ‘ganja.’ Kaya was made famous worldwide by the infamous reggae music star Bob Marley who, in addition to signing about Kaya in a vast number of his songs, even had one of his top albums titled ‘Kaya.’
