New Mexico Cannabis Server Permit Training
The New Mexico Cannabis Server Permit Training is an advanced educational course designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge and skills required for effective service in the cannabis sector. The New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) issues cannabis server permits to persons twenty-one (21) years of age or older & an applicant must provide proof of satisfactory completion of a Cannabis Server Permit Education Program from a provider approved by the CCD.
No one may be employed as a cannabis server by a licensed premise unless they obtain a cannabis server permit within thirty (30) days of employment.
Cannabis server permits are valid for three (3) years from their permit date issuance then they may be renewed by providing proof they have completed four & one-half (4.5) hours of continuing education along with an examination as required by the CCD.
- The effect cannabis products have on the body & behavior, including the effect on a person's ability to operate a motor vehicle when under the influence of cannabis products (26-2C-11(c)(1)).
- The effect cannabis products have on a person when used in combination with alcohol or legal or illegal drugs (26-2C-11(c)(2)).
- New Mexico laws concerning cannabis licensure, cannabis liability issues & driving under the influence of cannabis (26-2C-11(c)(3)).
- Methods of recognizing problem cannabis product users & techniques for intervening with problem cannabis product users (26-2C-11(c)(4)).
- Methods of identifying false driver's licenses & other documents used as evidence of age & identity to prevent the sale of cannabis products to a person under twenty-one years of age pursuant to the Cannabis Regulation Act (26-2C-11(c)(5)).
